When folks ask - “What would be your dream shoot?” This is about as close as it comes. Camille and Heather are two floral designers in Sonoma County who have such an incredible eye to color and texture. -
On an early foggy Thursday, I met up with Heather and Camille at the Rowan family house. I walked along side as the two of them wandered the family property with Buster the pooch. Trimming thistles from retired stocks, or old grapes left on abandoned orchards, to dead willow, and eucalyptus branches. Foliage I once recognized for their lush beauty now have a new meaning. The faded washed out look as some plants end their life provide the most unique textures in your arrangements.
The morning continued as Heather and Camille layed out the mornings harvest on the table. Watching the two of them create their arrangements with minimal verbal communication, just simply letting one another create with such fluidity. It allowed one another to come to a similar place, and the results were genuine and authentic. It was beautiful. To witness two people so harnessed in their craft is such a gift. -
