When folks ask - “What would be your dream shoot?”
This is about as close as it comes.
Camille and Heather are two floral designers in Sonoma County who have such an incredible eye to color and texture.
On an early foggy Thursday,
I met up with Heather and Camille at the Rowan family house.
I walked along side as the two of them wandered the property with Buster, the pooch.
Watching them trim thistles from retired stocks, and old grapes left on abandoned orchards, not to mention dead willow branches, AND old eucalyptus branches.
Foliage I once recognized for their color and lushness, now have a new meaning.
These faded washed out plants as they end their life can provide more unique textures.
The morning went on as Heather and Camille layed out their mornings harvest on the table.
Watching the two of them I noticed through minimal verbal communication, and by just simply letting eachothre create in their individual flow, allowed the two of them to come to a similar place, and the result was genuine and authentic.
It was magic,
to witness two people so harnessed in their craft.
