My name is Collin Morrow. I was born and raised in the small town of Healdsburg, CA, where I made it into the record books as "The Biggest Baby” born at the Healdsburg hospital…a whopping twelve pounds!! - love you mom!
I was introduced to photography by my grandparents. Both my grandmother and grandfather, whether they considered themselves photographers or not, had cameras and used them a lot! Between the two of them there was a difference in subject matter, though it was obvious that their intentions were the same: storytelling. My grandfather focused on documenting the growth of our family, and my grandmother choose to observe the more abstract and literal beauty of her surroundings.
I have practiced their philosophy of "photographing for the sake of storytelling" since I was 15 years old when I obtained my first point and shoot camera. Besides inheriting an appreciation for photography I have been able to sustain a healthy balance between travel and education thanks to my grandparents. My photography catalogs the experiences I've had, the moments I find inspirational, and most importantly provides a space for those untold stories.
